Winstead Takes The Checkers At Orange County,
Davis Takes Championship

10/31:: Rougemont, NC -- After a rain delay on Halloween, AJ Winstead proved once again why he's the man to beat at Orange County Speedway by winning his 5th event at the North Carolina track within the past three seasons.

While Winstead won the battle, it was Ronnie Davis who won the war, as he celebrated winning his third RTM Series Championship. Davis, who had won the title back-to-back in 1999 and 2000, managed to put together a season filled with consistancy and success. In 9 starts of the 2009 season, he managed 7 top-5 finishes, 3 poles, and a victory at Coastal Plains Raceway in early October.

On the Rookie front, Edward Ditges was named the 2009 RTM Rookie of the Year.

Congratulations to Ronnie Davis, driver of the #14 modified for his championship win, and a big thanks to the 40+ drivers and teams who competed on the tour this season. We had seen some great racing which pleased a lot of fans and promoters and the tour can only go up from here.
